IN RECOGNITION OF HIS DEDICATION TO THE SAFETY OF FELLOW TEL AND THE PURSUIT OF LIBERTY DURING HIS TIME CAPTIVE ON B-EXAGORA

“Zhou Ba Lan Dorh Tru

“Files released publicly in 770PE by the Military Intelligence Division documented the early career of Zhou Ba Lan Dorh Tru until his capture in Elysium space in a deactivated espionage vessel. His name is next mentioned in lists of prisoners of war transferred to b-Exagora. He appears to have come to some prominence in the 'Workgroup Zero' initial activities. A prisoner of war testimony referred to by Gun Det Ki Tang et al., 698PE, says that Zhou Ba Lan Dorh considered himself to have achieved missions of such import to the captive Tel – including the resistance of torture – that he added three pips to his military brow tattoo. If true, this would have been considered remarkable by contemporary intelligence agents. The testimony is not recorded in other sources.

“Zhou Ba Lan Dorh does not appear further in the records beyond about halfway through b-Exagora's year of isolation. Two beliefs concerning him were held by the Tel refugees who survived to reach LanDriChin. Firstly, that his body had been extensively desecrated, for a myriad of conflicting reasons not relevant to our discussion here. Secondly, that he had been assassinated by Stah Ye Jeh Sii Ko (the same inmate described in other accords as the 'traitor'; see pp69-71.) with a group of anti-Tel inmates. It is presumed that his assassination was as a result of demonstrated competence in organising the Tel and arranging defensive measures, but interpersonal conflict and even accidental death was never ruled out.

“Whatever the truth of his death, his compatriots imprisoned alongside him chose to honour his memory as a martyr. The 'Zhou Ba Lan Dorh Tru Intelligence Headquarters' was in use from 698 - 845 PE, and his name appears in the National War Museum.”
