Right.
So.
No guards, that's the good news.
The bad news is, that ought to mean we have free rein to beat on the Tel and the traitorous fucks allying themselves with them. Do we? Do we hell.
Now, I want to be very clear about this.
Just because we can't hit them does not mean we can't fuck them up. And we're going to. We have to. Because they'll do it to us first if we don't - if anyone saw Jessie's body, she went down during the riots, but that wasn't a bullet wound that dropped her, and she'd want someone to suffer for that.
We have control of the medbay.
We have an ace in the hole in that one of us at least can still fight. And we should have the ability to spread that.
Only problem is, if we can do that, chances are some of them can as well, so be on your guard.
And, both when it comes to watching your back and to acting yourself:
Bear in mind that traps aren't overt violence that the collars will pick up, and wouldn't it be a shame if someone were to fall down a flight of unexpectedly slippery stairs?
Nor is poison.
Nor is gossip, slander, and turning people against each other.
Nor is stealing, and resources are important, especially anything that might help us get off this rock.
We need to make sure we have all the cards, and don't let anyone else keep theirs too close to their chest, if you can sneak a peek.
Especially Rucker and Lockwood. You all heard them on the PA during the riots - they've set themselves up pretty much in charge, and that's not good news for us. Don't let them run the show if you can help it; because they won't have our interests at heart. They're the new guards. Trust them about as far as you did the old ones.
Watch your backs. Watch each other's backs.
We've got this.
