Magnus hummed and everyone around him began to harmonize with him, until the entire cellblock was filled with a low rumbling, that was causing goosebumps for everyone and then he stopped and everyone muted. New members began to flock in and join the circle around. Magnus was the only one standing, and behind a large draped object stood.
“One for All, All for One, Joy and Transcendence to the NEXUS”. Slowly it becomes a chant, until the entire room. The sound echoes, but does not resonate anywhere else. He lowered his hands and people quietened.
“Now on today's agenda we have three topics to talk about. First of all, lets give a round of applause to Jonas Wellwater, for stabbing and killing a Creed Member, getting vengeance for killing one of our own” he said. Jonas was resting in the corner but he was there. He then turned to face Constance and waved to her.
“Lets also thank Dr Constance Belle, for helping out and installing some delightful cybernetics into Manny Sousa,” he said, the members all clapped.
He then stepped back and pulled down the blanket and revealed the statue.
Standing at 8 feet tall, a towering figure, neither male or female, human and cybernetic, six arms in total, four more hidden in plain sight. They were standing over countless smaller humans, all made from metal, hailing. At the head of the divine creature, was an intertwining sphere with countless rings to represent the advancements of technology, the six arms representing the new races, and the four hidden, that Nexus shall never forget the other ships. The chest had a variation of markings, the star address of the Planet Protus.
In each hand, lay a small cybernetic device, in the right, the dead man's cybernetic, and in the left, Magnus'.
All Nexus members smiled, and some teared up at the beauty. Magnus hugged Harper and thanked her, as did every Nexus Member.
Magnus looked at everyone.
“Stay safe. The creed will be out for our blood. Survive, Adapt, Have Fun. We are a Union of Cybernetics”
