Linh was raised on a non-planetary colony and was well known for her skills as an engineer, working on building weaponry for the Elysian government. She was also a prolific writer, producing numerous pamphlets advocating for improved regulations regarding working hours and conditions of factory labour. Even more controversially, they included strong pro-colony born sentiments, arguing for non-planetary colony voting rights. After refusing to cease and desist when told by the Board of Directed Truth, she was arrested.

In her time in prison she has been known to be involved in several fights and has been in trouble for breaking various items of prison property in anger. She is an outspoken and prominent member of The Coalition of Political Prisoners.
