Police raided a house suspected of containing a number of people who were illegally avoiding conscription. Adrian Kilworth was the only one captured in this raid. His capture was trivial, as he was seriously wounded from a fragment of the window that the police had burst through. He did not see the glass coming, as he was reciting some of his own verse to an attentive audience when the raid happened.
