Aanya was convicted for her involvement with 'Liberty or Death'; she was believed to have held a high ranking position in the organisation, commanding a small team in the infiltration and sabotage of the Weapons Development Programme. She is believed to have planned and executed the corruption of their programmes, through the design and release of an unknown virus.

She managed to evade the authorities for six months before she was finally captured. Once in prison she took over leadership of **[[:cpp|The Coalition of Political Prisoners]]** in a matter of months.
